In 1994 Richard established a new venture called Blueprint as a software development company, creating customized software systems for blue chip organizations including Cable and Wireless, British Telecom, Apple and Glaxo.
As the Millennium dawned with the emergence of Digital Media, Richard became one of the first entrepreneurs to recognize both the threat and opportunity that this medium promised. He created a revolutionary digital supply chain platform for the content industry resulting in the first download and streaming services launched to consumers by mainstream retailers like Best Buy, Circuit City, Virgin, Media Saturn and Tesco. This platform was the driver for the evolution of the Global UltraViolet Digital Movie service currently being rolled out by the major movie studios, which Richard was instrumental in creating.
This has led to Richard being considered to be amongst the foremost thinkers in the area of the convergence of Entertainment and Technology and has led to him being engaged as an advisor to global business leaders and corporations such as Microsoft, Walmart, Logitech, Media Saturn, HMV, Getty Images, BBC, Archos, Adobe, Google, Intel, ATT & Time/Warner, on their emergence in today’s Digital Ecosystems, their most critical issues, opportunities, strategy, marketing, organization, operations, technology, digital convergence, analytics, transformations and acquisitions.

Jones joined Accor in 2019 bringing with him a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry gained during 25 years working with different international hotel chains.
Before Accor, Jones worked with The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company for 12 years, where he started in the Front Office and
worked his way through the Rooms Division before assuming the role of Executive Assistant Manager.
After spending 10 years in various hotels in The United States of America, Jones relocated to Dubai in 2008, as Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Jumeirah Beach Residence. Jones then spent time in Vietnam and Singapore before returning to Dubai in 2016 through Accor's acquisition of Mövenpick Hotels.

Prior to joining Mövenpick, he successfully delivered a number of high value digital business solutions and marketing strategies for Jumeriah Group, with a proven track record of generating positive return on investment. Since joining Mövenpick in June 2014, Amro has redefined the company's digital development and enhancement roadmap, implemented a variety of new state of the art digital solutions and launched movenpick.com's new mobile first website, A/B testing and Personalization platform, and much more. With the acquisition of Movenpick, Amro has taken over responsibility of all Commercial Projects for Accor Hotels in MEA, with a large focus on global brand integrations, regional partnership opportunities and digital / technology solutions.
